GrooveWise Privacy Policy

GrooveWise (“GrooveWise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by GrooveWise LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with our websites (including groovewise.co) and our mobile applications (each, an “App,” and together with the websites, the “Services”).

What each App collects

The rest of this Policy describes our general practices across all Services. Some Apps collect less than that general description — where that’s the case, it’s stated plainly below.

Metronome by GrooveWise. This app collects no data. It has no account or login, includes no analytics or advertising, and does not connect to our servers. Your settings are stored only on your device. Purchases are handled by Apple’s App Store; we do not receive your payment information.

Data Exporter by GrooveWise. With your permission, this app reads Contacts, Photos, Calendar, Reminders, Motion & Fitness, Music Library, and Home (HomeKit) data on your device in order to build the data exports you request. This data stays on your device by default — GrooveWise does not collect, receive, or have access to any of it. If you choose to configure a server URL or an external folder in the app’s settings, the app sends your export there directly, to a destination entirely of your choosing. This data is never used for advertising or any purpose other than fulfilling the export you request, and it is never sold or shared with third parties. Purchases (a one-time unlock or a monthly subscription) are handled by Apple’s App Store; we do not receive your payment information.

Summary

We build simple, focused apps. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. We do not sell your personal information. Where an App can work without collecting data about you, that is how we design it.

Information we collect

Information you provide. Most of our Apps do not require you to create an account or give us personal information. If a specific App lets you contact us, sign up, or submit feedback, we receive whatever you choose to send (for example, your email address and the contents of your message).

Information collected automatically. Depending on the App, we or our service providers may receive limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, general region (not precise location), and anonymized usage or crash data. This helps us fix bugs and improve the App.

Information from Apple. When you download or buy an App, Apple processes the transaction and shares aggregate, non-identifying information with us (for example, number of downloads). We do not receive your payment card details. Apple’s handling of your data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

We do not knowingly collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data unless a specific App feature requires it and you grant permission.

How we use information

We use the limited information we receive to operate, maintain, and improve the Services; to respond to your questions or support requests; to diagnose and fix technical problems; and to comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share limited information with:

• Service providers who help us run the Services (for example, hosting, analytics, or crash reporting), only as needed to perform their work for us.
• Legal and safety recipients, if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

Children’s privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at privacy@groovewise.co and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Support emails are retained so we can help you and keep records of our correspondence.

Your choices and rights

You can control app permissions (such as notifications) in your device settings. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@groovewise.co. We will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users

We operate from the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
